We recognise that prejudice and discrimination continue to result in unfair treatment for many people and we are committed to addressing this by:

  • Ensuring we have a robust, effective and up to date Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.
  • Promoting equality and fairness across the organisation by being open and transparent and listening to others.
  • Bringing change and taking action to ensure we are inclusive within SAMM and the services we offer to our members.
  • Ensuring that we are an equal opportunities employer.

Grief holds no boundaries.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Grief can effect anyone one no matter who they are and we are committed to supporting people in an inclusive and diverse way.

We also recognise that people’s grief reactions can also be influenced by a person’s identity such as age, gender, religious or cultural beliefs and more, and could add to feelings of isolation within a person’s grief journey. Therefore we understand the importance of bringing people together with similar influences to help with their loss. Our aim at SAMM is to support this approach by bringing people together with similar identities. For more information please email the office at info@samm.org.uk.
